A website consists of 3 separate parts:

  1. The actual website
  2. Website hosting
  3. A Domain

The actual website is the separate pages of your website which get designed and hosted and then gets viewed by your customers. You can view details on web design here

The website hosting part is the element where your website is stored on a server and called into view by your customers around the world. You can view more details on website hosting here

The domain part is the address that calls your website (eg: www.ezcomputers.co.za). It is not essential as you are allocated a default ip address (eg: 192.168.1.4) but this is not recommended as it is not easy to remember.
